Welcome to Anhad Mala - Digital Jap Counter (“we”, “our”, or “the App”), hosted at https://anhad-mala-jap.ai.studio and available on Google Play. We are committed to preserving the sanctity, purity, and privacy of your daily spiritual practice (sadhana).

This Privacy Policy explains how our application operates, what minimal information is collected, how it is secured, and your full rights to inspect, export, or erase your data.

1. Our Core Privacy Philosophy: Offline-First & No Ads

Anhad Mala is built with an offline-first architecture. Devotees can chant, track malas, configure sacred slokas, set Brahma Muhurta reminders, and practice Likhit Jap completely offline as a guest without creating an account or providing an email address.

2. Information We Collect & How We Use It

Depending on how you use Anhad Mala, we process the following categories of data:

• Guest Mode Data (Local Device Only): When using the app as a Guest, all chant counts, completed malas, session timestamps, custom slokas, acoustic/haptic settings, and streak records are stored solely in your device’s local storage (IndexedDB / localStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you choose to sign in.
• Optional Account & Cloud Synchronization (Firebase Auth & Firestore): If you voluntarily choose to sign in to back up your sadhana across multiple devices, we authenticate you via Google Firebase Authentication using your email address and display name. Your sadhana history (chant counts, sessions, joined sangha challenges) is synced to a private, encrypted Google Cloud Firestore database under your unique user identifier (UID).
• Voice Chant Detection (Microphone Audio): The optional Voice Chant Detection feature listens to mantra audio (e.g. “Ram Ram”, “Radha Radha”) to advance the mala hands-free. Audio processing occurs 100% locally on your device in real-time using the Web Speech API / local audio analysis. Your voice recordings are never recorded to a file, never stored, and never sent to our servers.
• Haptic & Vibration Hardware: The app accesses your device's vibration engine to provide tactile feedback for individual beads and mala completions. No sensory hardware telemetry is stored or collected.
• Diagnostic & Crash Data: Basic, non-identifiable technical data (e.g. browser type, operating system version) may be processed transiently by server hosts to ensure network availability and uptime.

3. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We strictly limit third-party integrations to reputable infrastructure providers necessary to deliver cloud synchronization:

• Google Firebase (Authentication & Cloud Firestore): Provides enterprise-grade cloud database persistence, user account authentication, and transport security (TLS 1.3 encryption). Google adheres to ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3, and GDPR compliance standards.
• Google Fonts & CDN: Used to render sacred typography (Cinzel, Plus Jakarta Sans, Rozha One) cached locally on your device.

We do NOT share your information with data brokers, advertisers, social media ad networks, or commercial analytics suites.

4. User Rights, Data Export & Deletion

Devotees maintain absolute ownership and sovereignty over their spiritual logs:

• Full JSON Export: You can export an unencrypted, complete JSON backup of all your sessions, mantras, and progress anytime from the Devotee Profile Modal → Export Backup.
• Local Data Erasure: You can clear all offline sadhana records immediately by clearing browser/app data or uninstalling the app.
• Instant In-App Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all synchronized sadhana data anytime from within the app: Profile → Delete Account & Wipe Data. All data is deleted in real-time.
• Web Deletion Portal (Google Play Data Safety): For web-based deletion requests without requiring the app to be installed, visit our dedicated Account & Data Deletion Request Page (/delete-account.html) or email up.values@gmail.com.

5. Children’s Privacy

Anhad Mala is a family-friendly devotional utility designed for spiritual elevation and mindfulness. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with an email address without parental consent, please contact us at up.values@gmail.com and we will delete the account immediately.

6. Security of Your Sacred Sadhana

All communications between your device and Google Firebase are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security). Access to administrative controls is sealed behind cryptographic SHA-256 multi-factor verification, ensuring only authorized guardians maintain the sangha infrastructure.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect app enhancements or statutory requirements. When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the amended policy.
